DoKalam – Live Chat

Beschreibung

DoKalam is a live chat plugin for WordPress that adds a customer support chat widget to your website. Install the plugin, connect your DoKalam account, choose an inbox, and start receiving visitor messages. No theme edits or manual script installation are needed.

Reply to website visitors from the DoKalam shared inbox and organize support work with the tools available in your account. The WordPress plugin connects your website to DoKalam; inbox and widget features are managed in your DoKalam account. Learn more on the DoKalam WordPress live chat page or visit the DoKalam website.

Use DoKalam to:

  • Add a live chat widget to your WordPress website using a secure account connection or a public widget key.
  • Manage visitor conversations in a shared inbox, with conversation status, assignment, priority, and tags.
  • Organize support agents into teams and route conversations to a team or an individual agent.
  • Reply faster with saved canned responses and keep track of conversations in the inbox and archive.
  • Customize the chat widget, its appearance, availability, and offline message.
  • Offer visitors FAQs, pre-chat contact fields, file attachments, and voice messages in the chat widget.
  • Review support activity with reports for conversation volume, response and resolution times, team activity, and customer satisfaction ratings.
  • Receive browser push notifications for new conversations, where enabled.

Feature availability may depend on your DoKalam plan and inbox configuration. A DoKalam account and an inbox are required; start at the DoKalam website. See the WordPress live chat page, features, and plans, or get the DoKalam Android app.

External Services

This plugin connects to the DoKalam service to display the live chat widget and deliver visitor conversations to your DoKalam inbox.

When a widget key is saved, the plugin adds a script that visitors’ browsers load from https://loader.dokalam.com/widget.js. The widget then communicates with DoKalam when visitors use it. Visitor-submitted messages and contact details, plus technical request data needed to provide the service, may be processed by DoKalam. The information involved depends on your widget configuration and how visitors use the chat.

FAQ

How do I add live chat to my WordPress website?

Install and activate the plugin, open DoKalam in your WordPress dashboard, and connect your DoKalam account to choose an inbox. The widget is added to your public website when the inbox key is saved.

Do I need a DoKalam account?

Yes. Visit dokalam.com to get started, then connect your account to WordPress and select an inbox. You can also paste an existing public widget key into the plugin settings.

Can I connect with a widget key instead of signing in?

Yes. In the DoKalam settings page, enter the public widget key for your inbox and save. Find the key in your DoKalam dashboard under Installation > Installation Guide.

Where do I answer visitor messages?

Sign in to your DoKalam account to manage and reply to conversations and configure your inbox and widget.

Why is the chat widget not appearing?

Confirm that a valid widget key is saved and the selected inbox is active. Then check whether a browser extension, caching or optimization plugin, firewall, or security setting is blocking loader.dokalam.com. If the site uses a content security policy, allow the DoKalam widget resources required by your configuration.

Does the plugin send data to an external service?

Yes. When a widget key is configured, the visitor’s browser loads the DoKalam widget loader from loader.dokalam.com and connects to DoKalam to provide chat. Messages and details submitted in the widget, along with technical request information needed to operate the service, may be processed by DoKalam. Review the DoKalam privacy policy and terms of service.
