I wrote this plugin to learn WordPress plugin development, and as a \nmeans to decouple these social networking features from my desired WordPress \ntheme.<\/p>\n\n<p>Features<\/p>\n\n<ul>\n<li>Includes the Facebook JavaScript SDK in your WordPress theme.<\/li>\n<li>Generates Facebook Open Graph tags for posts and pages.<\/li>\n<li>Includes the Facebook Like Button and Send Button on posts and pages.<\/li>\n<li>Imports the featured image \/ post thumbnail (if available) from a post or \npage for use as the featured image on Facebook.<\/li>\n<li>Generates a Facebook Comment section for posts and pages.<\/li>\n<li>Includes the Twitter Tweet Button on posts and pages.<\/li>\n<li>Includes the Google +1 Button on posts and pages.<\/li>\n<li>Includes the Pinterest Pin It Button on posts and pages.<\/li>\n<li>Optionally hides Wordpress comments.<\/li>\n<li>Configurable via Wordpress setting page.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>Requirements<\/p>\n\n<ul>\n<li>A Facebook App ID.<\/li>\n<li>A Twitter account.<\/li>\n<li>WordPress theme supporting featured images \/ post thumbnails.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h3>Known Issues<\/h3>\n\n<ul>\n<li>\"Leave a Comment\" link is still visible when Wordpress comments are disabled.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<!--section=installation-->\n<ol>\n<li>Unzip the archive to your \/wp-content\/plugins\/ directory.<\/li>\n<li>Activate the plugin via the \"Plugins\" menu in WordPress.<\/li>\n<li>Edit the \"Required Settings\" via the \"Settings \/ Social Plugin\" menu in Wordpress.\nAt the very least, you need to specify a Facebook App ID and a Twitter username.<\/li>\n<li>Optionally edit the \"Advanced Settings\" via the \"Settings \/ Social Plugin\" menu in Wordpress.<\/li>\n<li>That's it!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n<!--section=faq-->\n<dl>\n<dt>Facebook Comments display the error \"Warning: http:\/\/somesite.com\/somepage\/ is unreachable\".<\/dt>\n<dd><p>Try using Facebook's <a href=\"http:\/\/developers.facebook.com\/tools\/lint\/\">URL Linter<\/a> \nto see if the URL for the page in question generates any errors.<\/p><\/dd>\n<dt>The Pinterest Pin It button does not display despite the fact that it is configured to do so.<\/dt>\n<dd><p>The Pinterest Pin It button requires that the post or page include a featured image. Twenty Eleven \ntheme users may be interested in this.<\/li>\n<li>Added a general purpose style sheet called zosp-style.css.
